ACTION VERBS
The #1 reason why people don't get the jobs they want is due to poor communication skills. A good job description is your credibility and vital to even making it to an interview. It's an employer's market these days. Use the Dictionary of Occupational Titles and the other resources we have available to assist you in developing your job descriptions. If you're not putting 100% into your job descriptions, you are only cheating yourself. Once you have your descriptions fully developed, you can always use the information for filling out other applications. All of the research you conduct is for your personal benefit. You will only get out of it what you put in to it. If you've been getting nowhere, maybe you need to put a little more into it. If you have questions or need assistance, make an appointment with your counselor.
